Andy is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and is a dedicated Green Bay Packers Fan. He has always been mechanically inclined and felt most comfortable working with his hands. Andy began his career in the automotive repair service industry over 20 years ago in Racine at Sam’s Club and NTB.
In 2000, at the age of 20, Andy was offered a full-time position as a mechanic at Michel Tire in Columbia City, Indiana. This career opportunity and meeting his future wife is what brought him to settle down in Warsaw, Indiana.
After earning a wide skill set at Michel Tire, Andy took a position at Monteith Tire in Warsaw, specializing as a Brake Mechanic. He was at Monteith Tire for 5 years and had the opportunity to work with some very talented automotive experts, including the late Ray Monteith, to further build his knowledge as a mechanic.
As Andy’s young family grew, he made the decision to make a career move outside of the automotive repair industry. Due to his experience in skilled trades, Andy was offered a position at a local orthopaedic company. He worked in orthopaedics for over 10 years. For a few years prior to leaving the orthopaedic industry, Andy began an inner battle of not being satisfied with his current occupation but he was unsure of what the next steps for him might be. He didn’t feel suited for a position in an office environment and struggled with the desire to return to what fuels his passion.
In early 2017, the family of the late Butch Boggs approached Andy and asked if he was interested in purchasing Boggs Automotive. Andy was honored and excited to be presented with the opportunity. As of February 2017, Andy and his wife Julie became owners of Boggs Automotive. Andy would like to take this moment to thank the Boggs family for entrusting him to carry on the legacy of Butch Boggs. Andy is committed to providing the community with the same honest and trustworthy service at Boggs Automotive for many years to come.
