Fun Facts about Eldon
- Eldon was born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana.
- His father was a mechanic and Eldon grew up spending a lot of time at Warsaw Speedway which is where he met Butch Boggs, original founder of Boggs Automotive.
- Eldon’s relationship with Butch grew and so did the business at Boggs Automotive. Butch eventually offered Eldon a job as a mechanic.
- Butch was like family to Eldon. They worked together and shared the same hobbies, becoming best friends for over 20 years.
- Eldon loves Dirt Track Racing and continues to keep the passion he shared with Butch alive – Boggs Long Racing. Typically he spend the majority of his summer nights racing at the track. His youngest son, Easton, can be found working on the race car right along side his daddy.
- Eldon and his wife, Alica, actually met at Boggs Automotive!
- Eldon and Alica have a beautiful blended family including six children: Austin (22), Kayle (14), Aydon (7), Lela (6), Alex (5), Easton (3)
- Eldon’s favorite food is anything Alica makes for him that he doesn’t have to cook.
- While Andy drinks lots of sparkling water, Eldon prefers to drink excessive amounts of overly sweet tea while he’s working. Andy thinks this is gross.
- Eldon is a huge Green Bay Packers fan and on his downtime he also enjoys relaxing on the couch while surfing Facebook.
- Alica says Eldon is very predictable and he is always easy to find. He’s either at home, work or the race track.
- A few things Andy and Julie noticed about Eldon right away is that this man can swap out an engine faster than anyone we have ever seen. He is an extremely talented mechanic who treats Boggs Automotive like his second home. He is a very hard worker and he’s honest and trustworthy.
- Eldon is also super fun to poke fun at. He has a great sense of humor and he’s fun to work with.
